9th grade
I was honored to be chosen as a student ambassador for our school's open house, presenting to an audience of about 300 people. As a member of our "Global Leader Honors Program," I took the stage with a native teacher to demonstrate a live English dialogue about my personal aspirations and the SDGs. That experience of standing in the spotlight, despite the pressure, ignited a passion within me for leadership roles and propelled me to seek more public speaking opportunities. This culminated in winning the school's speech contest later that year, where I shared my dream with the entire student body.
These experiences taught me a powerful lesson: leadership is more than just directing others; it's about having the courage to stand at the forefront and be a voice for a community's shared values and vision. I developed the capacity to articulate my ideas with clarity and conviction to a large audience, which dramatically boosted my confidence and expressive abilities. This was the moment I knew I wanted to become a leader capable of inspiring and mobilizing people.
