FRC and Crowdfunding
Learning / Experience
11th - 12th grade
I joined a team for the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), where I took on the role of treasurer on the management team, focusing on empowering our tech team. To handle the constant flow of material and parts purchases, I designed and implemented a streamlined system using Google Sheets and Google Chat, which enabled seamless, real-time budget tracking and communication. I also spearheaded our fundraising efforts, leading a crowdfunding initiative and collaborating closely with corporate sponsors to successfully secure approximately 2.5 million yen.
This responsibility taught me crucial lessons in financial management—how to maximize a limited budget—and the critical role of communication in fostering team synergy. Our collective efforts paid off: the robot was completed successfully, and our team won the prestigious "Rookie All-Star Award" at the regionals, qualifying us for the World Championship. This experience was a defining moment, showing me firsthand the vital importance of the role that connects technology and business. It ignited my ambition to pursue a career that bridges the worlds of IT and management.
